Met Office predicts spells of sunshine across country as plume of warm air arrives from Europe
The UK’s hottest day of the year so far is expected on Tuesday, with spells of sunshine across the country and temperatures forecast to rise to 26 degrees in London offering an early glimpse of summer.
The Met Office said the hottest temperatures would be in south-east England as a plume of warm air arrives from the continent, although much of the country will have warm weather.
