Meta takes down ‘influence operations’ run by China and Russia

Fake Guardian article amongst ‘sprawling network’ of bogus websites used to focus on customers in UK, US and EU

Facebook’s mother or father firm, Meta, has mentioned it has eliminated a pair of “influence operations” run by China and Russia, which aimed to sway views on the US elections and the warfare in Ukraine.

The Russian community, the biggest the corporate has disrupted because the warfare started, focused audiences throughout Europe and the UK, and integrated a “sprawling network” of internet sites impersonating information web sites together with the Guardian, in response to Meta.
